Use ArcGIS geospatial analysis tools to provide support and assist with analytical product development for DoJ customers. Work with a diverse set of end users and deliver recommendations to streamline, automate, and overall improve data management. Develop key visualizations; maps, dashboards, apps. Act as a thought partner in problem solving with the client, suggesting solutions for problems in real time.
Designed and deployed comprehensive geospatial solutions, integrating advanced spatial analysis, data engineering, and web application development. Spearheaded full project lifecycles, delivering user-centric mapping and location-based services. Transformed complex spatial data into intuitive, scalable interactive web-based platforms that empower data-driven decision making.
Geospatial
Developed +50 interactive web mapping applications that demonstrated GIS capabilities for various projects in multiple domains (Healthcare, DoD, DHS, DoJ). Used a range of ESRI technologies (ArcGIS Pro web sharing, ArcGIS Enterprise Instant Apps and Experience Builder) and open source tools like Leaflet and OpenLayers.
Configured multiple instances of GeoServer, publishing web mapping and image services for MITRE internal projects compliant with OGC specifications.
Led team of 2 developers to modify a JavaScript plugin that extracted place-based data on the fly and served as Web Feature Service (WFS); content was streamed as an output service that GIS desktop and web apps could consume and URL parameters determined data response.
Fulfilled various GIS analysis requests, including map generation and creating spatial data from tabular data in relational databases with SQL; performed drive time analysis for VA Medical Disability Examination Office proof of concept exploring issue of veterans reporting on surveys excessive travel distances to attend exams and embedded an audio player in map feature popups to stream MP3 links from a layer attribute table for a Coast Guard project.
Developed STCORR QGIS plugin that demonstrated viability of project’s spatial-temporal correlation algorithm being incorporated into a desktop geospatial tool, which showed how the plugin could be incorporated into geospatial tool’s ecosystem and incorporated into automated GIS workflow.
Coauthored 2025 1st Place winning poster “Mapping Opportunities for Improved Access to Care through Federal Healthcare Partnerships” that was presented at Healthcare Systems Process Improvement Conference – hosted by the Society for Health Systems, a sub-group within Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering.
Project Management
Agile subject matter expert and delivery manager role on Digital Twin Immersion Lab effort; project consisted of 4 teams with several sub-projects. Provided overall structure to project execution and helped define customer jobs to be done as well as pains and gains that led to development team tasks. Facilitated working sessions with team leaders and individual contributors to agree upon various milestones and how to adapt to scope changes, leading to 2 Immersive Digital Twin prototypes.
